Jesus is coming soon! My heart sings with happiness as the ambitious winds usher me into the winter of a new and exciting year. There is much to praise the Lord for as I ponder my blessings; gifts from the Father too many to count. Oh, precious are the preludes of all of His promises! It’s been precisely 2 years and five months since I was given the awful diagnosis of metastatic stage 4 lung cancer which spread to my brain. The oncologist predicted that I would live for only 6 months…
It was upon returning home after my first chemo therapy that I laid quietly in the darkness, listening. I could hear my daughters talking, my son’s voice giddy with laughter as he played games with his friends, the kitchen sink pipes clanking, my husband rustling about trying to cook dinner in the near distance. The clamorous sounds, the very octaves of those I loved filled my ears like a sudden symphony that soothed my suffering, allaying my bewilderment.
“Get up!” cried an urgent whisper startling my sadness. “SIT UP!” The command jolting me like an invisible nudge forcing me out of the fetal position from where I had lain.
Obediently, I arose. My posture astute, my legs dangling, my stomach turning as I began to utter the words contrary to the understanding of men, physicians and myself. “I am perfectly happy, healthy and fine. And Jesus loves me!” Over and again this chant echoed in my mind, fleeing my lips in whispers deafening my spirit with joyous relief, dismissing all that fraught my thoughts with sorrow, grief.
The Holy spirit had spoken to me and all the days since then this melodious miracle has been my heart’s song. Praise Jesus!! Jesus Christ is Lord!! My soul rejoices knowing that Jesus is returning soon for his children, his church, his bride. It is the seasons, the days, hours and minutes that until then that I pray to share, inspire and beckon others to believe in Christ our Lord, our Savior.
Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health just as your soul prospers. 3 John 1:2
Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. 1 Peter 2:24
God loves us all and would that none should perish. Praise the Lord! My heart bursts with happiness all the days and I pray for everyone to find Jesus and to KNOW that he is Lord and to be saved for he died and rose again for all of us; bearing our sins and our sicknesses that we might live for righteousness and through his blood we are washed clean and healed!
Wishing you all a Happy Healthy New Year!! God Bless!
